Ezekiel 22:8

Thou hast despised mine holy things
The holy place, the temple, and the worship of it; holy persons, the priests that officiated there; holy sacrifices offered up by them; the holy word of God read and explained; and all holy ordinances there administered. These words are directed to Jerusalem, the holy city, and to the inhabitants of it, who ought to have been holy men: and hast profaned my sabbaths;
by doing their own work, and neglecting the service of God; and which was an inlet, as it usually is, to all manner of sin.

6 Ecco, i principi d’Israele, dentro di te, si son dati a spandere il sangue, ciascuno secondo il suo potere.
7 Si è sprezzato in te padre, e madre; si è usata storsione contra il forestiere in mezzo di te; si è oppressato in te l’orfano, e la vedova.
8 Tu hai sprezzate le mie cose sante, ed hai profanati i miei sabati.
9 Uomini sparlatori, e calunniatori sono stati in mezzo di te, per ispandere il sangue; e si è mangiato in te sopra i monti; si son commesse scelleratezze in mezzo di te.
10 Le vergogne del padre si sono scoperte in te; si è sforzata in te la donna appartata per la sua immondizia.
