10 Ed io ne feci la scritta, e la suggellai, e ne presi testimoni, e pesai i danari nelle bilance.

Jeremiah 32:10

And I subscribed the evidence
Or, "wrote in a book" F21; the instrument or bill of sale, the deed of purchase; which described the field sold, and expressed the condition on which the purchase was made; and by subscribing it he agreed to it, and laid himself under obligation to perform it: and sealed [it];
for the further confirmation of it: and took witnesses;
to be present at the payment of the money, and to sign the deed likewise: and weighed [him] the money in the balances;
this he did a second time; he weighed it first before Hanameel himself, and then before the witnesses; everything was done fairly, and with great exactness.

8 Ed Hanameel, figliuol del mio zio, venne a me, secondo la parola del Signore, nel cortile della prigione, e mi disse: Deh! compera il mio campo, che è in Anatot, nel territorio di Beniamino; perciocchè a te appartiene il diritto dell’eredità, e la ragion del riscatto; comperalo adunque. Ed io conobbi che ciò era parola del Signore.
9 Ed io comperai quel campo, ch’era in Anatot, da Hanameel, figliuol del mio zio; e gli pesai i danari, cioè: diciassette sicli d’argento.
10 Ed io ne feci la scritta, e la suggellai, e ne presi testimoni, e pesai i danari nelle bilance.
11 Poi presi la scritta della compera; quella suggellata, secondo la legge e gli statuti, e quella aperta;
12 e diedi la scritta della compera a Baruc, figliuolo di Neria, figliuolo di Maaseia, in presenza di Hanameel, mio cugino, e in presenza de’ testimoni che aveano sottoscritto nella scritta della compera, alla vista di tutti i Giudei, che sedevano nel cortile della prigione.
