Consider and weigh well what has been said; or rather attend to what is further to be said:

hearken unto me;
to what he was about to say; for he was full of matter, and had not yet vented all he had to utter:

hold thy peace, and I will speak;
be silent and do not interrupt, and I will go on with my discourse.

29 Ecco, Iddio opera tutte queste cose Due e tre volte inverso l’uomo;

30 Per ritrarre l’anima sua dalla fossa, Acciocchè sia illuminata della luce de’ viventi.

31 Attendi, o Giobbe, ascoltami; Taci, ed io parlerò.

32 Se tu hai alcuna cosa da dire, rispondimi; Parla, perciocchè io desidero giustificarti.

33 Se no, ascoltami tu; Taci, ed io t’insegnerò la sapienza.
