24 la moltitudine, dico, come ebbe veduto che Gesù non era quivi, nè i suoi discepoli, montò anch’ella in quelle navicelle, e venne in Capernaum, cercando Gesù.

John 6:24

When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there,
&c.] At the sea side, at the usual place of taking boat; and having reason to think he was not on that side of the lake, but was gone from thence:

neither his disciples;
when they found that there were neither of them there, but both were gone, and considering that it was to no purpose for them to stay there:

they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum seeking Jesus;
they might observe, that the disciples steered their course towards this place; and they knew that was a place of general resort with Christ and his disciples; therefore they took boat and came directly thither, and sought for him in the synagogue, it being on a day in which the people used to go thither; and where Christ, as often as he had opportunity, attended.

22 IL giorno seguente, la moltitudine ch’era restata all’altra riva del mare, avendo veduto che quivi non v’era altra navicella che quell’una nella quale erano montati i discepoli di Gesù, e ch’egli non v’era montato con loro; anzi che i suoi discepoli erano partiti soli
23 or altre navicelle eran venute di Tiberiade, presso del luogo, ove, avendo il Signore rese grazie, aveano mangiato il pane;
24 la moltitudine, dico, come ebbe veduto che Gesù non era quivi, nè i suoi discepoli, montò anch’ella in quelle navicelle, e venne in Capernaum, cercando Gesù.
25 E trovatolo di là dal mare, gli disse: Maestro, quando sei giunto qua?
26 Gesù rispose loro, e disse: In verità, in verità, io vi dico, che voi mi cercate, non perciocchè avete veduti miracoli; ma, perciocchè avete mangiato di quei pani, e siete stati saziati.
