Mark 11:19

And when even was come, he went out of the city.
] Of Jerusalem, as he did the evening before, and for the same reasons: probably he went to Bethany, where he had lodged the last night, with Lazarus, Martha, and Mary; or to the Mount of Olives, where he sometimes spent the night in prayer: the Syriac version renders it, "they went out"; for Christ took his disciples with him, as is evident from the following verse.

17 Ed insegnava, dicendo loro: Non è egli scritto: La mia casa sarà chiamata: Casa d’orazione, per tutte le genti? ma voi ne avete fatta una spelonca di ladroni.

18 Or gli Scribi, e i principali sacerdoti udirono queste cose, e cercavano il modo di farlo morire; perchè lo temevano; perciocchè tutta la moltitudine era rapita in ammirazione della sua dottrina.

19 E quando fu sera, Gesù se ne uscì fuori della città.

20 E la mattina seguente, come essi passavano presso del fico, lo videro seccato fin dalle radici.

21 E Pietro, ricordatosi, gli disse: Maestro, ecco, il fico che tu maledicesti è seccato.
