And if a kingdom be divided against itself
Any of the kingdoms of this world, and the kingdom of "Satan":

that kingdom cannot stand:
not long; its internal broils and divisions will, soon bring it to desolation; (See Gill on Matthew 12:25).

22 Ma gli Scribi ch’eran discesi di Gerusalemme, dicevano: Egli ha Beelzebub; e per lo principe de’ demoni, caccia i demoni.
23 Ma egli, chiamatili a sè, disse loro in similitudine: Come può Satana cacciar Satana?
24 E se un regno è diviso in parti contrarie, egli non può durare.
25 E, se una casa è divisa in parti contrarie, ella non può durare.
26 Così, se Satana si leva contro a sè stesso, ed è diviso in parti contrarie, egli non può durare, anzi vien meno.
