Matthew 20:14

Take that thine is
By agreement, and go thy way; out of my sight, give me no more trouble on this head; which looks like a dismissal from his service, and after privileges; and was true of many among the Jews, who were only nominal professors, and from whom the Gospel and ordinances of it were taken:

I will give unto this last
man that was called, and sent into the vineyard,

even as unto thee;
the same outward privileges, besides special grace, and eternal glory, which it looks as if the other had not.

12 Questi ultimi han lavorato solo un’ora, e tu li hai fatti pari a noi, che abbiam portata la gravezza del dì, e l’arsura.
13 Ma egli, rispondendo, disse all’un di loro: Amico, io non ti fo alcun torto; non ti convenisti tu meco in un denaro?
14 Prendi ciò che ti appartiene, e vattene; ma io voglio dare a quest’ultimo quanto a te.
15 Non mi è egli lecito di far ciò che io voglio del mio? l’occhio tuo è egli maligno, perciocchè io son buono?
16 Così, gli ultimi saranno primi, e i primi ultimi; perciocchè molti son chiamati, ma pochi eletti.
