Exodus 29:45

And I will dwell among the children of Israel
In the tabernacle ordered to be built for him, and which, when built, was placed in the midst of the camp of Israel; and here Jehovah dwelt as a king in his palace, near at hand to help, protect, and defend his subjects, and supply them with all things needful for them; see ( Deuteronomy 4:7 )

and will be their God;
their covenant God, their King and their God, their government being a Theocracy; their God and Father, by national adoption, and from whom they might expect all good things, they continuing in obedience to his commands, by the tenure of which they held their rights and privileges, civil and ecclesiastical.

43 I will also meet with the Israelites there, and my glory will make this place holy.
44 I will dedicate the tent of meeting and the altar for their holy purposes. I will set Aaron and his sons apart for their holy duties of serving me as priests.
45 "Then I will live among the Israelites and be their God.
46 They will know that I am the LORD their God. I brought them out of Egypt so that I might live among them. I am the LORD their God."
