Isaiah 45:6

6 so that from the east to the west people will know that there is no God except me. I am the LORD, and there is no other.

Isaiah 45:6 Meaning and Commentary

Isaiah 45:6

That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the
west
That all the inhabitants of the world, from east to west, which takes in the habitable part of the world, that from north to south not being entirely so; that all within this compass, by hearing what great things God did by Cyrus, and for his people, might know, own, and acknowledge, that there is none besides me: I am the Lord, and there is none else;
or, "besides me there is nothing" F12; all creatures are nonentities in comparison of God; and he fills up all places, and everything lives, and moves, and has its being in him; and there is no God, the Lord, the eternal Jehovah, but the one true God, Father, Son, and Spirit.

Isaiah 45:6 In-Context

4 For the sake of my servant Jacob, Israel, my chosen one, I have called you by name. I have given you a title of honor, although you don't know me.
5 I am the LORD, and there is no other. There is no other God besides me. I will strengthen you, although you don't know me,
6 so that from the east to the west people will know that there is no God except me. I am the LORD, and there is no other.
7 I make light and create darkness. I make blessings and create disasters. I, the LORD, do all these things.
8 Rain down from above, you heavens, and pour down righteousness, you skies. Let the earth open. Let salvation and righteousness sprout. Let them spring up. I, the LORD, have created them.
