Luke 19:32 Meaning and Commentary

Luke 19:32

And they that were sent went their way
The two disciples that were sent by Christ, were obedient to him, and went, as he directed them, and did as he ordered them;

and found, even as he had said unto them.
The Vulgate Latin and Ethiopic versions, and so some copies, add, "the colt standing"; that is, in the place, and manner which he had described to them; (See Gill on Mark 9:4).

Luke 19:32 In-Context

30 He said to them, "Go into the village ahead of you. As you enter, you will find a young donkey tied there. No one has ever sat on it. Untie it, and bring it.
31 If anyone asks you why you are untying it, say that the Lord needs it."
32 The men Jesus sent found it as he had told them.
33 While they were untying the young donkey, its owners asked them, "Why are you untying the donkey?"
34 The disciples answered, "The Lord needs it."
