And the rest of the acts of Menahem We are referred to the same book of chronicles for them as for those of the rest of the kings, which seems to be a form the historian uses of them all.

There came against the land Pul the king of Ashshur; and Menachem gave Pul one thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.

Menachem exacted the money of Yisra'el, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Ashshur. So the king of Ashshur turned back, and didn't stay there in the land.

Now the rest of the acts of Menachem, and all that he did, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yisra'el?

Menachem slept with his fathers; and Pekachyah his son reigned in his place.

In the fiftieth year of `Azaryah king of Yehudah Pekachyah the son of Menachem began to reign over Yisra'el in Shomron, [and reigned] two years.
