And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORDdestroyedSodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.

13
And there came one that had escaped, and toldAbram the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were confederatewithAbram.
14
And when Abramheard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, threehundred and eighteen*, and pursued them unto Dan.
15
And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.

That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet*, and that I will nottake any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have madeAbramrich:
4
And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
5
And he brought him forthabroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
9
And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.
13
And he said unto Abram,Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them fourhundredyears;

3
And SaraiAbram'swifetookHagar her maid the Egyptian, afterAbram had dwelttenyears in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husbandAbram to be his wife.
5
And Saraisaid unto Abram, My wrong be upon thee: I have given my maid into thy bosom; and when she saw that she had conceived, I was despised in her eyes: the LORDjudge between me and thee.
6
But Abramsaid unto Sarai, Behold, thy maid is in thy hand;do to her as it pleaseth thee*. And when Sarai dealt hardly with her, she fled from her face.

And he will be a wildman; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.
7
And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlastingcovenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
8
And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlastingpossession; and I will be their God.
12
And he that is eightdaysold shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger*, which is not of thy seed.
13
He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlastingcovenant.
14
And the uncircumcised man childwhoseflesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.
17
Then Abrahamfell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundredyearsold? and shall Sarah, that is ninetyyearsold, bear?
19
And Godsaid, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a sonindeed; and thou shalt call his nameIsaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlastingcovenant, and with his seed after him.
20
And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly*; twelve*princes shall he beget, and I will make him a greatnation.
23
And AbrahamtookIshmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham'shouse; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsameday, as God had said unto him.

And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, threemenstood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tentdoor, and bowed himself toward the ground,
5
And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye cometo your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.
10
And he said, I will certainlyreturn unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarahheard it in the tentdoor, which was behind him.
19
For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to dojustice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.
25
That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earthdoright?

Peradventure there shall lackfive of the fiftyrighteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.
30
And he said unto him, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I findthirty there.

And there cametwoangels to Sodom at even; and Lotsat in the gate of Sodom: and Lotseeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;
2
And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant'shouse, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.
3
And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
4
But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the houseround, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:

9
And they said, Standback. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressedsore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.
12
And the mensaid unto Lot, Hast thou hereany besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:
14

And when the morningarose, then the angelshastenedLot,saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy twodaughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
16
And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his twodaughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set himwithout the city.
17
And it came to pass, when they had brought them forthabroad, that he said, Escapefor thy life;look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain;escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
19
Behold now, thy servant hath foundgrace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannotescape to the mountain, lest some eviltake me, and I die:
28
And he lookedtowardSodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.

5
Said he not unto me, She is my sister? and she, evenshe herself said, He is my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this.
6
And Godsaid unto him in a dream,Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.
7
Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surelydie, thou, and all that are thine.
