1 Estos son los hijos de David, que le nacieron en Hebrón: Amnón el primogénito, de Ahinoam, la jezreelita; el segundo Daniel, de Abigail de Carmelo

2 el tercero, Absalón, hijo de Maaca hija de Talmai rey de Gesur; el cuarto, Adonías hijo de Haguit

3 el quinto, Sefatías, de Abital; el sexto, Itream, de Egla su mujer

4 Estos seis le nacieron en Hebrón, donde reinó siete años y seis meses; y en Jerusalén reinó treinta y tres años

5 Estos cuatro le nacieron en Jerusalén: Simea, Sobab, Natán, y Salomón, de Bet-súa hija de Amiel

6 Y otros nueve: Ibhar, Elisama, Elifelet

7 Noga, Nefeg, Jafía

8 Elisama, Eliada, y Elifelet

9 Todos éstos fueron los hijos de David, sin los hijos de las concubinas. Y Tamar fue hermana de ellos

Genealogies.

- Of all the families of Israel, none were so illustrious as the family of David: here we have a full account of it. From this family, as concerning the flesh, Christ came. The attentive observer will perceive that the children of the righteous enjoy many advantages.

This chapter gives an account of the sons of David, born to him both in Hebron and in Jerusalem, 1Ch 3:1-9, and of his successors in the kingdom, to the Babylonish captivity, 1Ch 3:10-16, and of his family, to the coming of the Messiah, 1Ch 3:17-24.
