13 Vino, pues, Samuel a Saúl, y Saúl le dijo: Bendito seas tú del SEÑOR; yo he cumplido la palabra del SEÑOR

1 Samuel 15:13

And Samuel came to Saul
At Gilgal:

and Saul said unto him, blessed be thou of the Lord;
signifying that he had abundant reason to bless the Lord on his account, not only that he had anointed him king, but had sent him on such an errand, in which he had succeeded so well, and it was a pleasure to him that he might report it to him:

I have performed the commandment of the Lord;
either he was really ignorant that he had done amiss; and thought that his sparing Agag, when he had destroyed all the rest, and reserving some of the best of the cattle for sacrifice, could not be interpreted a breach of the orders given him; or if he was conscious he had broken the commandment of the Lord, this he said to prevent Samuel's reproof of him, and to sooth him with flattering words.

11 Me pesa de haber puesto por rey a Saúl, porque se ha vuelto de en pos de mí, y no ha cumplido mis palabras. Y pesó a Samuel, y clamó al SEÑOR toda aquella noche

12 Y Samuel madrugó para ir a encontrar a Saúl por la mañana; y fue dado aviso a Samuel, diciendo: Saúl ha venido al Carmel, y he aquí él se ha levantado un monumento, y después volviendo, ha pasado y descendido a Gilgal

13 Vino, pues, Samuel a Saúl, y Saúl le dijo: Bendito seas tú del SEÑOR; yo he cumplido la palabra del SEÑOR

14 Samuel entonces dijo: ¿Pues qué balido de ovejas y bramido de bueyes es éste que yo oigo con mis oídos

15 Y Saúl respondió: De Amalec los han traído; porque el pueblo perdonó lo mejor de las ovejas y de las vacas, para sacrificarlas al SEÑOR tu Dios; pero lo demás lo destruimos
