2 Chronicles 16:1

In the thirty and sixth year of the reign of Asa Baasha king of
Israel came up against Judah
How this is to be reconciled with the reign of Baasha, which was but twenty four years, and was begun in the third of Asa, and therefore must have been dead nearly ten years before this year of Asa's reign, (See Gill on 1 Kings 15:17) where, and in the following verses, are the same things related as here, to the end of the sixth verse; the explanation of which the reader is referred to.

1 En el año treinta y seis del reinado de Asa, subió Baasa rey de Israel contra Judá; y edificó a Ramá, para no dejar salir ni entrar a ninguno al rey Asa, rey de Judá

2 Entonces sacó Asa la plata y el oro de los tesoros de la Casa del SEÑOR y de la casa real, y envió a Ben-adad rey de Siria, que estaba en Damasco, diciendo

3 Haya pacto entre mí y ti, como lo hubo entre mi padre y tu padre; he aquí yo te he enviado plata y oro, para que vengas y deshagas la alianza que tienes con Baasa rey de Israel, a fin de que se retire de mí

4 Y consintió Ben-adad con el rey Asa, y envió los capitanes de sus ejércitos a las ciudades de Israel; e hirieron a Ijón, Dan, y Abel-maim, y todos los tesoros de las ciudades de Neftalí

5 Y oyendo esto Baasa, cesó de edificar a Ramá, y dejó su obra
