Acts 16:2

Which was well reported of
Not the father of Timothy, but Timothy himself; to whose piety, virtue, and good conversation witness was borne,

by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium;
the members of the churches which were in these places, and which were not far from one another; and as it is necessary that ministers of the Gospel should have a good report of them that are without, so likewise of them that are within; and the testimony of the latter is preferable to that of the former.

1 Después llegó a Derbe, y a Listra; y he aquí, estaba allí un discípulo llamado Timoteo, hijo de una mujer judía fiel, mas de padre gentil

2 De éste daban buen testimonio los hermanos que estaban en Listra y en Iconio

3 Pablo quiso que éste fuera con él; y tomándole, le circuncidó por causa de los judíos que estaban en aquellos lugares; porque todos sabían que su padre era griego

4 Y cuando pasaban por las ciudades, les daban que guardaran los decretos que habían sido determinados por los apóstoles y los ancianos que estaban en Jerusalén

5 Así que, las Iglesias eran confirmadas en la fe, y eran aumentadas en número cada día
