Jeremiah 30:12

For thus saith the Lord, thy bruise [is] incurable
By themselves or others, in all human appearance; there was no help for them from men; their case seemed desperate; there was no likelihood of their recovery to their former state and glory, as at this day the case of the Jews appears to be; there seems to be no probability of their conversion and restoration; and whenever it is, it will be as life from the dead, ( Romans 11:15 ) ; like quickening Ezekiel's dry bones, or raising persons from the dead, which none but the hand of omnipotence can effect: [and] thy wound [is] grievous;
an expression signifying the same as before: the metaphor is taken from a body wounded and bruised in such a manner, as to be past the skill of the most able surgeon to cure it.

10 Tú, pues, siervo mío Jacob, no temas, dice el SEÑOR, ni te atemorices, Israel; porque he aquí que yo soy el que te salvo de lejos, y a tu simiente de la tierra de su cautividad; y Jacob tornará, y descansará y sosegará, y no habrá quien le espante

11 Porque yo estaré contigo, dice el SEÑOR, para salvarte: y haré consumación en todos los gentiles entre los cuales te esparcí; pero en ti no haré consumación, sino que te castigaré con juicio, y no te talaré del todo

12 Porque así dijo el SEÑOR: Desahuciado es tu quebrantamiento, y dificultosa tu llaga

13 No hay quien juzgue tu causa para salud; no hay para ti cura ni medicinas

14 Todos tus enamorados te olvidaron; no te buscan; porque de herida de enemigo te herí, con azote cruel, a causa de la muchedumbre de tu iniquidad, y de la multitud de tus pecados
