Judges 20:44

And there fell of Benjamin eighteen thousand men
Just the number they had slain of Israel in the second battle. This is the number of them that were slain when Israel turned upon them, and by that time they got to the east of Gibeah; afterwards 5000 more were slain on the highways, and 2000 near Gidom, as after related:

all these were men of valour;
as appears by three times facing and engaging with the army of Israel, so vastly superior to them, and twice beating them.

42 Y volvieron la espalda delante de Israel hacia el camino del desierto; mas el escuadrón los alcanzó, y los salidos de las ciudades los mataban en medio de ellos

43 Así cercaron a los de Benjamín, y los siguieron y hollaron, desde Menúha hasta enfrente de Gabaa al nacimiento del sol

44 Y cayeron de Benjamín dieciocho mil hombres, todos ellos hombres de guerra

45 Volviéndose luego, huyeron hacia el desierto, a la peña de Rimón, y de ellos rebuscaron cinco mil hombres en los caminos; y después los persiguieron hasta Gidom, y mataron de ellos otros dos mil hombres

46 Así todos los que de Benjamín murieron aquel día, fueron veinticinco mil hombres que sacaban espada, todos ellos hombres de guerra
