43 El cual, tomando a su gente, la repartió en tres compañías, y puso emboscadas en el campo; y cuando miró, he aquí el pueblo que salía de la ciudad; y se levantó contra ellos, y los hirió

Judges 9:43

And he took the people
That is, the forces he had with him at Arumah:

and divided them into three companies:
each having a separate leader, and the command of one of them he had himself:

and laid wait in the field;
in the field of Shechem, one company in one part, and one in another part of the field:

and looked, and, behold, the people were come forth out of the city;
he watched them when they did:

and he rose up against them, and smote them;
the companies rose up out of their ambush, in different parts, and killed them.

44 Pues Abimelec y el escuadrón que estaba con él, acometieron con ímpetu, y se detuvieron a la entrada de la puerta de la ciudad; y las otras dos compañías acometieron a todos los que estaban en el campo, y los hirieron

45 Y después de combatir Abimelec la ciudad todo aquel día, la tomó, y mató al pueblo que en ella estaba, y asoló la ciudad, y la sembró de sal
