Numbers 32:18

We will not return unto our houses
In the cities built or repaired by them, or to their families, and their substance, their flocks and their herds; all which they should leave behind them, and never think of returning to them:

until the children of Israel have inherited every man his inheritance;
until all the tribes were settled in their respective places, and every family and everyone in them had their portion assigned them; and accordingly they did not return until the land was wholly subdued, nor even until every lot came up, and the land was divided by it, and the inheritance of the several tribes fixed, and even the cities of the Levites assigned to them out of the several tribes; see ( Joshua 22:1-34 ) .

16 Entonces ellos vinieron a él y dijeron: Edificaremos aquí majadas para nuestro ganado, y ciudades para nuestros niños

17 y nosotros nos armaremos, e iremos con diligencia delante de los hijos de Israel, hasta que los metamos en su lugar; y nuestros niños quedarán en ciudades fuertes a causa de los moradores de la tierra

18 No volveremos a nuestras casas hasta que los hijos de Israel posean cada uno su heredad

19 Porque no tomaremos heredad con ellos al otro lado del Jordán ni adelante, por cuanto tendremos ya nuestra heredad de este lado del Jordán al oriente

20 Entonces les respondió Moisés: Si lo hiciereis así, si os apercibiereis para ir delante del SEÑOR a la guerra
