Romans 7:19

For the good that I would, I do not
The apostle here repeats what he had delivered in ( Romans 7:15 Romans 7:16 ) to strengthen and confirm this part of his experience; that though he had a will to that which was good, yet he wanted power, and had none of himself to perform; and therefore often did what he would not, and what he would he did not.

17 De manera que ya yo no obro aquello, sino el pecado que mora en mí
18 Y yo sé que en mí (es a saber, en mi carne) no mora el bien, porque tengo el querer, mas efectuar el bien no lo alcanzo
19 Porque no hago el bien que quiero; pero el mal que no quiero, éste hago
20 Y si hago lo que no quiero, ya no obro yo, sino el pecado que mora en mí
21 Así que, queriendo yo hacer el bien, hallo esta ley: Que el mal me es propio
