Rut 4:13-17

13 Y así Booz tomó a Rut, y ella fue su mujer; y luego que entró a ella, el SEÑOR le dio que concibiera y diera a luz un hijo
14 Y las mujeres decían a Noemí: Loado sea el SEÑOR, que hizo que no te faltara redentor hoy, cuyo nombre será nombrado en Israel
15 El cual será restaurador de tu alma, y el que te sustentará en tu vejez; pues que tu nuera, la cual te ama, le ha dado a luz; y ella es de más valor para ti que siete hijos
16 Y tomando Noemí el hijo, lo puso en su regazo, y fue su aya
17 Y las vecinas le pusieron nombre diciendo: a Noemí ha nacido un hijo; y le llamaron Obed. Este es padre de Jessé, padre de David

INTRODUCTION TO RUTH 4

This chapter relates how an offer was made to the nearest kinsman of Ruth to redeem her, and the field her husband left, which he refused to do, Ru 4:1-8, upon which Boaz redeemed both, and married Ruth before the elders of the city as witnesses, and who congratulated him and her on that occasion, Ru 4:9-12, to whom a son was born, called Obed by the neighbours, Ru 4:13-17 and the chapter is concluded with the genealogy of David, who sprung from him, Ru 4:18-22.
