12 And on the morrow, when they were comefromBethany, he was hungry :
13 Andseeing a fig tree afar offhavingleaves, he came , ifhaply he might find any thingthereon* : and when he cametoit, he foundnothingbutleaves;for the time of figswasnot yet.
14 AndJesusanswered and said unto it,No maneatfruitoftheehereafterforever.Andhisdisciplesheard it.
15 And they cometoJerusalem:andJesuswent into the temple, and began to cast out them that soldandboughtin the temple,andoverthrew the tables of the moneychangers,and the seats of them that solddoves;
16 Andwouldnotsufferthat any man should carry any vesselthrough the temple.
17 And he taught , saying unto them,Is itnotwritten* , Myhouse shall be called of allnations the house of prayer?butye have madeit a den of thieves.
18 And the scribesand chief priestsheard it, andsoughthow they might destroyhim:for they fearedhim,becauseall the people was astonishedathisdoctrine.
19 Andwheneven was come , he went out of the city.
