Luke 8:48

And he said unto her, daughter
Instead of frowning upon her, and chiding her for what she had done, he addressed her in a very affable and affectionate manner; bidding her

be of good comfort;
and not be afraid; this clause is left out in the Vulgate Latin version, as in ( Mark 5:34 ) but is in the copies, and other versions:

thy faith hath made thee whole, go peace;

46 But Jesus said, "Someone touched me, because I know power has gone out from me."
47 And [when] the woman saw that she did not escape notice, she came trembling and falling down before him. In the presence of all the people, she told for what reason she had touched him, and that she was healed immediately.
48 And he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go in peace."
49 [While] he was still speaking, someone came from the synagogue ruler's [house], saying, "Your daughter is dead! Trouble the Teacher no longer!"
50 But Jesus, [when he] heard [this], replied to him, "Do not be afraid! Only believe, and she will be healed."
