Psalms 8:9 Meaning and Commentary

Psalms 8:9

O Lord our Lord, how excellent [is] thy name in all the earth!
The psalm ends with the same words with which it begins; which shows that the sense of this, with which the psalmist was affected, continued with him, and doubtless increased, after such a confirmation of it, by the instances he was led to take notice of. (See Gill on Psalms 8:1).

Psalms 8:9 In-Context

7 sheep and cattle, all of them, and also [the] wild animals of [the] field,
8 [the] birds of [the] sky and the fish of the sea, [everything] that passes along the paths of seas.
9 Yahweh, our Lord, how majestic [is] your name in all of the earth!
