1 Kings 11:14

And the Lord stirred up an adversary unto Solomon, Hadad the
Edomite
Though he did not take his kingdom from him for his sin, he chastised him with the rod of men, as he said he would; suffering one, and then another, to rise up and disturb his peace in his old age, see ( 2 Samuel 7:14 )

he was of the king's seed in Edom;
of the blood royal.

12 Seulement, je ne le ferai point pendant ta vie, à cause de David, ton père. C'est de la main de ton fils que je l'arracherai.

13 Je n'arracherai cependant pas tout le royaume; je laisserai une tribu à ton fils, à cause de David, mon serviteur, et à cause de Jérusalem, que j'ai choisie.

15 Dans le temps où David battit Edom, Joab, chef de l'armée, étant monté pour enterrer les morts, tua tous les mâles qui étaient en Edom;

16 il y resta six mois avec tout Israël, jusqu'à ce qu'il en eût exterminé tous les mâles.
