Psalms 109:29

Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame
This is only explanative of what is said before,

And let them cover themselves with their own confusion as with a
mantle:
the Arabic version is, "as with a breastplate." Some understand it as a petition of Christ, that they might be brought to repentance for their sins, and so to shame for them; which is an instance of his wondrous grace and goodness; and it is certain he prayed for the forgiveness of his enemies when on the cross, ( Luke 23:34 ) .

27 Et qu'ils sachent que c'est ta main, Que c'est toi, Eternel, qui l'as fait!
28 S'ils maudissent, toi tu béniras; S'ils se lÚvent, ils seront confus, Et ton serviteur se réjouira.
29 Que mes adversaires revĂȘtent l'ignominie, Qu'ils se couvrent de leur honte comme d'un manteau!
30 Je louerai de ma bouche hautement l'Eternel, Je le célébrerai au milieu de la multitude;
31 Car il se tient à la droite du pauvre, Pour le délivrer de ceux qui le condamnent.
