11 5:37 Asarja zeugte Amarja. Amarja zeugte Ahitob.
12 5:38 Ahitob zeugte Zadok. Zadok zeugte Sallum.
13 5:39 Sallum zeugte Hilkia. Hilkia zeugte Asarja.
14 5:40 Asarja zeugte Seraja. Seraja zeugte Jozadak.
15 5:41 Jozadak aber ward mit weggeführt, da der HERR Juda und Jerusalem durch Nebukadnezar ließ gefangen wegführen.
16 6:1 So sind nun die Kinder Levis diese: Gerson, Kahath, Merari.
17 So heißen aber die Kinder Gersons: Libni und Simei.
18 Aber die Kinder Kahaths heißen: Amram, Jizhar, Hebron und Usiel.
19 Die Kinder Meraris heißen: Maheli und Musi. Das sind die Geschlechter der Leviten nach ihren Vaterhäusern.
20 Gerson Sohn war Libni; des Sohn war Jahath; des Sohn war Simma;
21 des Sohn war Joah; des Sohn war Iddo; des Sohn war Serah; des Sohn war Jeathrai.

INTRODUCTION TO 1 CHRONICLES 6

This chapter begins with the fathers and heads of the tribe of Levi, 1Ch 6:1-3, and reckons up the high priests in the line of Eleazar, to the Babylonish captivity, 1Ch 6:4-15 gives an account of the families of the sons of Levi, 1Ch 6:16-30 and of those Levites that were employed as singers, and in other ministrations in the sanctuary in the times of David and Solomon, 1Ch 6:31-49, then follows a repetition of the sons of Aaron in the line of Eleazar, to the said times, 1Ch 6:50-53, and a recital of the dwelling places of the Levites in the several tribes, 1Ch 6:54-81.
