13 And Arphaxad lived after he had begotten Cainan, four hundred years, and begot sons and daughters, and died. And Cainan lived a hundred and thirty years and begot Sala; and Canaan lived after he had begotten Sala, three hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters, and died.

In all four hundred and thirty eight; the Vulgate Latin wrongly reads, three hundred and three:

and begat sons and daughters;
not mentioned by name: he died, as the above Arabic writer ^F26 says, in the month Nisan, A. M. 2696; and a Jewish writer ^F1 says he died in the forty eighth year of Isaac, and who also says ^F2, that in his days they began to build the city of Babel.
