As we head back to Matthew chapter five and our study in the Sermon on the Mount, remember Jesus is really getting to the heart of the matter, revealing the inward attitudes and motives of the heart. Today we’ll receive some wonderful principles to live by, but pastor Jeff Johnson cautions us be careful that you don’t take things too far and become like the Pharisees!

The religions of the world very often focus on outward actions, but Jesus in His Sermon on the Mount deals with inward attitudes. He explains how righteousness is obtained, and that the life of the Christian is not an outward show but an inward reality. Today on Sound Doctrine we’ll talk about Actions and Attitudes as we approach Matthew chapter five, verses 21-26.
