14 and their brothers, valiant warriors, 128 * *. And their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of Haggedolim.

Nehemiah 11:14

And their brethren, mighty men of valour, an hundred twenty
and eight
The brethren of Adaiah and Amashai, who were able men to do the work of their office as priests, and men of courage to fight the enemy, and defend the city upon occasion:

and their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of one of the great men;
or the son of Hagedolim, or Gedolim, as some, who take it to be the proper name of a man.

13 and his kinsmen, heads of fathers' households, 242 ; and Amashsai the son of Azarel, the son of Ahzai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer,
14 and their brothers, valiant warriors, 128 . And their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of Haggedolim.
15 Now from the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni;
16 and Shabbethai and Jozabad, from the leaders of the Levites, who were in charge of the outside work of the house of God;
