25"If one man sins against another, God will mediate for him; but if a man sins against the LORD , who can intercede for him?" But they would not listen to the voice of their father, for the LORD desired to put them to death.
6When the Philistines heard the noise of the shout, they said, "What does the noise of this great shout in the camp of the Hebrews mean?" Then they understood that the ark of the LORD had come into the camp.
10Now Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, and the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel. But the LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day against the Philistines and confused them, so that they were routed before Israel.
14"If you will fear the LORD and serve Him, and listen to His voice and not rebel against the command of the LORD , then both you and also the king who reigns over you will follow the LORD your God.15"If you will not listen to the voice of the LORD , but rebel against the command of the LORD , then the hand of the LORD will be against you, as it was against your fathers.
17"Is it not the wheat harvest today? I will call to the LORD , that He may send thunder and rain. Then you will know and see that your wickedness is great which you have done in the sight of the LORD by asking for yourselves a king."18So Samuel called to the LORD , and the LORD sent thunder and rain that day; and all the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel.
19"Why then did you not obey the voice of the LORD , but rushed upon the spoil and did what was evil in the sight of the LORD ?"20Then Saul said to Samuel, "I did obey the voice of the LORD , and went on the mission on which the LORD sent me, and have brought back Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.
21The woman came to Saul and saw that he was terrified, and said to him, "Behold, your maidservant has obeyed you, and I have taken my life in my hand and have listened to your words which you spoke to me.22"So now also, please listen to the voice of your maidservant, and let me set a piece of bread before you that you may eat and have strength when you go on your way."
