41He found first his own brother Simon and said to him, "We have found the Messiah " (which translated means Christ ).42He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, "You are Simon the son of John; you shall be called Cephas " (which is translated Peter ).
22So when He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He said this; and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken.23Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing.
52So he inquired of them the hour when he began to get better. Then they said to him, "Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him."53So the father knew that it was at that hour in which Jesus said to him, "Your son lives "; and he himself believed and his whole household.
4for an angel of the Lord went down at certain seasons into the pool and stirred up the water; whoever then first, after the stirring up of the water, stepped in was made well from whatever disease with which he was afflicted.]
19Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner.
36"But the testimony which I have is greater than the testimony of John; for the works which the Father has given Me to accomplish -the very works that I do -testify about Me, that the Father has sent Me.
13So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten.14Therefore when the people saw the sign which He had performed, they said, "This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world."
25So they were saying to Him, "Who are You?" Jesus said to them, "What have I been saying to you from the beginning?26"I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you, but He who sent Me is true; and the things which I heard from Him, these I speak to the world."
35"If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken ),36 do you say of Him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God '?
2It was the Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.3So the sisters sent word to Him, saying, "Lord , behold, he whom You love is sick."
26Jesus then answered, "That is the one for whom I shall dip the morsel and give it to him." So when He had dipped the morsel, He took and gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.27After the morsel, Satan then entered into him. Therefore Jesus said to him, "What you do, do quickly."
2even as You gave Him authority over all flesh, that to all whom You have given Him, He may give eternal life.3"This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.4"I glorified You on the earth, having accomplished the work which You have given Me to do.5"Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.6"I have manifested Your name to the men whom You gave Me out of the world; they were Yours and You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.
8for the words which You gave Me I have given to them; and they received them and truly understood that I came forth from You, and they believed that You sent Me.9"I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but of those whom You have given Me; for they are Yours;
11"I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are.12"While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name which You have given Me; and I guarded them and not one of them perished but the son of perdition, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.
7Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord ." So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord , he put his outer garment on (for he was stripped for work), and threw himself into the sea.
