8"Therefore bear fruits in keeping with repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham for our father,' for I say to you that from these stones God is able to raise up children to Abraham.
8Jesus answered him, "It is written, 'YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD AND SERVE HIM ONLY.' "9And he led Him to Jerusalem and had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here;
25Immediately he got up before them, and picked up what he had been lying on, and went home glorifying God.26They were all struck with astonishment and began glorifying God; and they were filled with fear, saying, "We have seen remarkable things today."
28"I say to you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he."29When all the people and the tax collectors heard this, they acknowledged God's justice, having been baptized with the baptism of John.30But the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected God's purpose for themselves, not having been baptized by John.
10And He said, "To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is in parables, so that SEEING THEY MAY NOT SEE, AND HEARING THEY MAY NOT UNDERSTAND.11"Now the parable is this: the seed is the word of God.
42"But woe to you Pharisees! For you pay tithe of mint and rue and every kind of garden herb, and yet disregard justice and the love of God; but these are the things you should have done without neglecting the others.
20"But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared?'21"So is the man who stores up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God."
28"In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but yourselves being thrown out.29"And they will come from east and west and from north and south, and will recline at the table in the kingdom of God.
15And He said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God.16"The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John; since that time the gospel of the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.
20Now having been questioned by the Pharisees as to when the kingdom of God was coming, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed;21nor will they say, 'Look, here it is!' or, 'There it is!' For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst."
16But Jesus called for them, saying, "Permit the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.17"Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all."
24And Jesus looked at him and said, "How hard it is for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!25"For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
36for they cannot even die anymore, because they are like angels, and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.37"But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed, in the passage about the burning bush, where he calls the Lord THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, AND THE GOD OF ISAAC, AND THE GOD OF JACOB.38"Now He is not the God of the dead but of the living; for all live to Him."
