"How long , O naive ones, will you love being simple-minded? And scoffers delight themselves in scoffing And fools hate knowledge?
Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the LORD .
And you say, "How I have hated instruction! And my heart spurned reproof!
There are six things which the LORD hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him:
"The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverted mouth, I hate.
"But he who sins against me injures himself; All those who hate me love death."
Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you, Reprove a wise man and he will love you.
He who is guarantor for a stranger will surely suffer for it, But he who hates being a guarantor is secure.
