Psalms 30:10

10 Lord, hear me and have mercy on me. Lord, help me."

Psalms 30:10 Meaning and Commentary

Psalms 30:10

Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me
By lifting up the light of his countenance again upon him; by manifesting and applying his pardoning grace to him, and by delivering him out of all his afflictions;

Lord, be thou my helper;
in this time of trouble; for he knew that vain was the help of man; and he was entirely in the right to betake himself to the Lord, who was able to help him, when none else could.

Psalms 30:10 In-Context

8 I called to you, Lord, and asked you to have mercy on me.
9 I said, "What good will it do if I die or if I go down to the grave? Dust cannot praise you; it cannot speak about your truth.
10 Lord, hear me and have mercy on me. Lord, help me."
11 You changed my sorrow into dancing. You took away my clothes of sadness, and clothed me in happiness.
12 I will sing to you and not be silent. Lord, my God, I will praise you forever. For the director of music. A psalm of David.
