8 Here are the names of Israel's children and grandchildren who went to Egypt. Jacob and all of his children and grandchildren are included. Reuben was Jacob's oldest son.

Genesis 46:8

And these [are] the names of the children of Israel which came
into Egypt
Not meaning precisely Jacob's seed and offspring, but the body of the people of Israel, as they were when they went into Egypt, including Jacob himself: Jacob and his sons;
for he went with them to Egypt, and was the head and principal of them: Reuben, Jacob's firstborn;

6 So Jacob and his whole family went to Egypt. They took their livestock with them. And they took everything they had gotten in Canaan.
