Psalms 119:60

60 I won't waste any time. I will be quick to obey your commands.

Psalms 119:60 Meaning and Commentary

Psalms 119:60

I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.
] As soon as he was sensible of his duty, he immediately complied with it; he consulted not with flesh and blood, but at once yielded a cheerful obedience to the commands of God. Instances of evangelical obedience of this kind we have in the three thousand converts, in Saul, and in the jailer and his house, ( Acts 2:41 ) ( 9:18 ) ( 16:33 ) .

Psalms 119:60 In-Context

58 I have looked to you with all my heart. Be kind to me as you have promised.
59 I have thought about the way I live. And I have decided to follow your covenant laws.
60 I won't waste any time. I will be quick to obey your commands.
61 Evil people may tie me up with ropes. But I won't forget to obey your law.
62 At midnight I get up to give you thanks because your decisions are very fair.
