God has made it possible to come clean and receive forgiveness. He loves us so much that He sent His son to die for our sins so that we wouldn’t have to die in our sins. With that great truth in mind, why wouldn’t we be willing to simply receive forgiveness.... and forgive others?

Today on Sound Doctrine we continue pastor Jeff Johnson’s study in First John. We’ll pick things up in chapter two at verse nine. The apostle John is about to make it clear that those who are truly walking in the light will be loving and forgiving people! Would that describe you today? Think that through with us, as we present part one of, “To Walk in the Light = Love!”

1 Corinthians 13 is often identified as the Love Chapter, and in verse 4 we read, “Love suffers long, and is kind”. This is God’s Love. If we want to experience and give out this kind of Love, we need to walk in His light. The more we walk in the light, the more Love we can give out.
