Leviticus 7:9 Meaning and Commentary

Leviticus 7:9

And all the meat offering that is baked in the oven
Or "every meat offering" F2, whether dressed in one way or another, and which was done in one or other of these three ways, of which this was one, baked in an oven heated for that purpose:

and all that is dressed in the frying pan;
such as we call pancakes:

and in the pan;
which was different from the frying pan; it seems to be what was set upon an hearth made hot, and soon baked; (See Gill on Leviticus 6:21) of these three different ways of dressing the meat offering, see ( Leviticus 2:4 Leviticus 2:5 Leviticus 2:7 ) .

Leviticus 7:9 In-Context

7 The trespass offering is like the sin offering; there is one law for them both: the priest who makes atonement with it shall have it.
8 And the priest who offers anyone's burnt offering, that priest shall have for himself the skin of the burnt offering which he has offered.
9 Also every grain offering that is baked in the oven and all that is prepared in the covered pan, or in a pan, shall be the priest's who offers it.
10 Every grain offering, whether mixed with oil, or dry, shall belong to all the sons of Aaron, to one as much as the other.
11 'This is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings which he shall offer to the Lord:
