15 As the Lord had commanded his servant Moses, so Moses commanded Joshua, and so Joshua did; he left nothing undone of all that the Lord had commanded Moses.

Joshua 11:15 Meaning and Commentary

Joshua 11:15

As the Lord commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses command
Joshua
Which was to destroy the people of the land, ( Deuteronomy 7:1 Deuteronomy 7:2 ) ;

so did Joshua, he left nothing undone of all that the Lord commanded
Moses;
both with respect to the destruction of the people, and of all their images, pictures, altars, groves, and high places; see ( Exodus 34:11-13 ) ( Numbers 27:18 Numbers 27:19 ) ( 33:52 ) ( Deuteronomy 7:1-5 ) ( 31:7 ) .

Joshua 11:15 In-Context

13 But Israel burned none of the towns that stood on mounds except Hazor, which Joshua did burn.
14 All the spoil of these towns, and the livestock, the Israelites took for their booty; but all the people they struck down with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them, and they did not leave any who breathed.
15 As the Lord had commanded his servant Moses, so Moses commanded Joshua, and so Joshua did; he left nothing undone of all that the Lord had commanded Moses.
16 So Joshua took all that land: the hill country and all the Negeb and all the land of Goshen and the lowland and the Arabah and the hill country of Israel and its lowland,
17 from Mount Halak, which rises toward Seir, as far as Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon below Mount Hermon. He took all their kings, struck them down, and put them to death.
