21 Si no toma alguna medida, mi hijo Salomón y yo seremos tratados como criminales en cuanto mi señor el rey haya muerto.

1 Kings 1:21

Otherwise it shall come to pass, when my lord the king shall
sleep with his fathers
That is, shall die, and be buried in the sepulchre of his ancestors, where he shall lie till he awakes in the morning of the resurrection:

that I and my son Solomon shall be counted offenders;
or "sinners" ^F7; not as if she would be reckoned an adulteress, and her son as illegitimate, as some think, and so be branded and treated as such; but as being traitors, making pretensions to the throne, she on the behalf of her son, and he for himself, when he had no right to it, being the younger son, and not declared successor by his father.

19 Ha sacrificado gran cantidad de ganado, terneros engordados y ovejas, y ha invitado a todos los hijos del rey a la celebración. También invitó al sacerdote Abiatar y a Joab, comandante del ejército, pero no invitó a su siervo Salomón.

20 Y ahora, mi señor el rey, todo Israel está esperando que usted anuncie quién será el próximo rey.

21 Si no toma alguna medida, mi hijo Salomón y yo seremos tratados como criminales en cuanto mi señor el rey haya muerto.

22 Mientras ella aún hablaba con el rey, llegó el profeta Natán.

23 Los funcionarios del rey le informaron: «El profeta Natán está aquí y quiere verlo».
Entonces Natán entró y se inclinó ante el rey con el rostro en tierra
