1 Timothy 5:7

And these things give in charge
Concerning rebuking persons of a different age and sex, and concerning the maintenance of widows; and particularly that children provide for their parents when helpless; and that widows trust in God, and give themselves to prayer and supplication, and not live in sin:

that they may be blameless;
before men, and in the view of the world, and not be chargeable with any notorious crime; though none are without blame in themselves, and before God, but as considered in Christ Jesus.

5 Ahora bien, una verdadera viuda —una mujer que realmente está sola en este mundo— es aquella que ha puesto su esperanza en Dios. Día y noche ora a Dios pidiéndole su ayuda,

6 pero la viuda que solamente vive para el placer está espiritualmente muerta en vida.

8 Aquellos que se niegan a cuidar de sus familiares, especialmente los de su propia casa, han negado la fe verdadera y son peores que los incrédulos.

9 Para que una viuda esté en la lista de ayuda tiene que tener al menos sesenta años y haberle sido fiel a su marido.
