2 Chronicles 15:14

And they sware unto the Lord with a loud voice
As not being ashamed of the oath they took, and that there might be witnesses of it, and that it might be clear they did not equivocate in but expressed themselves in plain words:

and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets;
showing that the oath was not extorted from them unwillingly, but that they took it with the utmost cheerfulness, and with all the demonstrations of joy and gladness imaginable.

12 Luego hicieron un pacto de buscar al Señor
, Dios de sus antepasados, con todo el corazón y con toda el alma.

13 Decidieron que todo el que se negara a buscar al Señor
, Dios de Israel, sería ejecutado, fuera joven o anciano, hombre o mujer.

14 Con gran voz hicieron un juramento de lealtad al Señor
al estruendo de las trompetas y al fuerte toque de los cuernos de carnero.

15 Todos en Judá estaban contentos con el pacto, porque lo habían hecho de todo corazón. Con fervor buscaron a Dios y lo encontraron; y el Señor
les dio descanso de sus enemigos en todo el territorio.

16 El rey Asa quitó a su abuela
Maaca de su puesto de reina madre, porque ella había hecho un poste obsceno dedicado a la diosa Asera. Derribó el poste obsceno, lo hizo pedazos y lo quemó en el valle de Cedrón.
