15 Entonces el ángel del Señor
dijo a Elías: «Desciende con él y no le tengas miedo». Así que Elías se levantó y fue con el capitán a ver al rey.

2 Kings 1:15

And the angel of the Lord said unto Elijah,
&e.] The same as in ( 2 Kings 1:3 ) or "had said" ^F7, as some render it, before this captain came: go down with him;
the captain and his men: and be not afraid of him;
of King Ahaziah, whom he might fear, because of the message he had sent him, that he should die of that sickness, and for turning back his messengers to the god of Ekron, and for destroying his two captains and their fifties; nor of his mother Jezebel, who had threatened his life for killing her prophets: and he arose, and went down with him unto the king;
boldly and courageously, not fearing his wrath; so that the captain not only had his life and the life of his men spared, but answered the end of his message also.

13 Por tercera vez, el rey envió a un capitán con cincuenta hombres; pero esta vez el capitán subió a la colina, se arrodilló ante Elías y le suplicó:
—Hombre de Dios, por favor, perdone mi vida y también la vida de estos cincuenta siervos suyos.

14 Sabemos que cayó fuego del cielo y destruyó a los primeros dos grupos; pero ahora, ¡le ruego que me perdone la vida!

15 Entonces el ángel del Señor
dijo a Elías: «Desciende con él y no le tengas miedo». Así que Elías se levantó y fue con el capitán a ver al rey.

16 Así que Elías dijo al rey: «Esto dice el Señor
: “¿Por qué enviaste mensajeros a Baal-zebub, dios de Ecrón, a preguntarle si te recuperarías? ¿Acaso no hay Dios en Israel para contestar tu pregunta? Ahora, porque hiciste esto, nunca te levantarás de la cama donde estás; ten por seguro que morirás”».

17 Así que Ocozías murió como el Señor
lo había anunciado por medio de Elías. Dado que Ocozías no tenía ningún hijo que reinara en su lugar, su hermano Joram
lo sucedió en el trono. Esto ocurrió en el segundo año del reinado de Yoram, hijo de Josafat, rey de Judá.
