Ezra 10:16

And the children of the captivity did so
Put away their strange wives:

and Ezra the priest, with certain chief of the fathers, after the house
of their fathers, and all of them by their names, were separated;
from all their other business, and gave themselves up to attend to this wholly:

and sat down in the first day of the tenth month;
the month Tebeth, which answers to part of December and January; this was ten days after the assembly of all the people met and broke up: these took their places in the great court, and there sat

to examine the matter;
the accounts brought in from the several cities by the magistrates thereof, and recorded them.

14 Que nuestros líderes actúen en nombre de todos nosotros. Que todo el que tenga una esposa pagana venga a una determinada hora, acompañado por los líderes y jueces de su ciudad, para que la ira feroz de nuestro Dios por este asunto se aleje de nosotros.

15 Los únicos que se opusieron a estas medidas fueron Jonatán, hijo de Asael, y Jahazías, hijo de Ticva, ambos respaldados por Mesulam y el levita Sabetai.

17 Para el 27 de marzo, que era el primer día del nuevo año,
ya habían terminado de resolver los casos de todos los hombres que se habían casado con mujeres paganas.

18 Los culpables de matrimonios mixtos
Los siguientes son los sacerdotes que habían tomado mujeres paganas como esposas:
De la familia de Jesúa, hijo de Jehosadac,
y sus hermanos: Maaseías, Eliezer, Jarib y Gedalías.
