8 En lugar de proteger mis ritos sagrados, contrataste a extranjeros para que se encargaran de mi santuario.

Ezekiel 44:8

And ye have not kept the charge of mine holy things
That is, have not kept and retained the holy doctrines of the Gospel; nor observed the holy ordinances of it, as they were first delivered: but ye have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for yourselves;
meaning either, that such as were in public office did not attend to it; but were idol shepherds, and left the flock, their care and charge, to others, to surrogates and curates, to do their work for them; while they indulged themselves in sloth and idleness: or that the members and hearers set up preachers for themselves, according to their lusts, agreeable to their own carnal sentiments, without any regard to the will and glory of God.

6 Da a esos rebeldes, los israelitas, este mensaje de parte del Señor
Soberano: “¡Oh pueblo de Israel, basta ya con tus pecados detestables!

7 Has traído a extranjeros incircuncisos a mi santuario, gente que no tiene corazón para Dios. De ese modo, profanaste mi templo incluso mientras me ofrecías mi alimento: la grasa y la sangre de los sacrificios. Además de todos tus otros pecados detestables, rompiste mi pacto.

8 En lugar de proteger mis ritos sagrados, contrataste a extranjeros para que se encargaran de mi santuario.

9 »”Por lo tanto, esto dice el Señor
Soberano: ningún extranjero, ni siquiera los que vivan entre los israelitas, entrará en mi santuario si no se ha circuncidado y entregado al Señor
.

10 Además, los hombres de la tribu de Leví que me abandonaron cuando Israel se alejó de mí para rendir culto a ídolos
tendrán que sufrir las consecuencias de su infidelidad.
