19 Mi herida es profunda
y grande mi dolor.
Mi enfermedad es incurable,
pero debo soportarla.

Jeremiah 10:19

Woe is me for my hurt!
&c.] Or "breach" ^F1; which was made upon the people of the Jews, when besieged, taken, and carried captive; with whom the prophet heartily sympathized, and considered their calamities and distresses as his own; for these are the words of the prophet, lamenting the sad estate of his people. My wound is grievous;
causes grief, is very painful, and hard to be endured: but I said;
within himself, after he had thoroughly considered the matter: this is a grief;
an affliction, a trial, and exercise: and I must bear it;
patiently and quietly, since it is of God, and is justly brought upon the people for their sins.

Haz las maletas y prepárate para salir;
el sitio está por comenzar.

18 Pues esto dice el Señor
:
«De forma repentina echaré
a todos los que viven en esta tierra.
Derramaré sobre ustedes grandes dificultades,
y por fin sentirán mi enojo».

19 Mi herida es profunda
y grande mi dolor.

20 Mi casa está destruida,
y no queda nadie que me ayude a reconstruirla.
Se llevaron a mis hijos,
y nunca volveré a verlos.

21 Los pastores de mi pueblo han perdido la razón.
Ya no buscan la sabiduría del Señor
.
Por lo tanto, fracasan completamente
y sus rebaños andan dispersos.
