Jeremiah 5:30

A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land.
] What may justly raise admiration in some, and horror in others, or both in all: it is so amazing that it can hardly be conceived of, and so shameful and filthy as not to be expressed; what it is follows:

28 Están gordos y con aspecto saludable,
y sus obras de maldad no tienen límite.
Rehúsan dar justicia al huérfano
y le niegan los derechos al pobre.

29 ¿No habría de castigarlos por esto? —dice el Señor
—.
¿No habría de vengarme de semejante nación?

30 Algo terrible y espantoso
ha sucedido en este país:

31 los profetas dan profecías falsas,
y los sacerdotes gobiernan con mano de hierro.
Peor todavía, ¡a mi pueblo le encanta que sea así!
Ahora bien, ¿qué harán ustedes cuando todo esto llegue a su fin?
