John 7:14

Now about the midst of the feast
About the fourth day of it, for it lasted eight days; this might be on the sabbath day, which sometimes was (gxh Kwtb) , "in the middle of the feast" F14; and the rather, since it follows,

Jesus went up into the temple;
as the Lord and proprietor of it, and as was his usual method; he had for some reasons kept himself retired till now, and now he appeared publicly:

and taught
the people his doctrine; he expounded the Scriptures, gave the true sense of them, and instructed the people out of them.

12 Se oían muchas discusiones acerca de él entre la multitud. Unos afirmaban: «Es un buen hombre», mientras que otros decían: «No es más que un farsante que engaña a la gente»;
13 pero nadie se atrevía a hablar bien de él en público por miedo a tener problemas con los líderes judíos.
14 Entonces, en la mitad del festival, Jesús subió al templo y comenzó a enseñar.
15 Los presentes
quedaron maravillados al oírlo. Se preguntaban: «¿Cómo es que sabe tanto sin haber estudiado?».
16 Así que Jesús les dijo:
